Month 24

"Happy to youuuuu, happy to youuuuu, Happy to Lawwelll, Happy to youuuuu"

That's right, this month I reached the TERRIFIC Twos!! And that's how I serenaded everyone! The Birthday song is now one of my most favorite songs. And if you want me to sing it to you too, I will! Even if it isn't your birthday! Before I get to the birthday festivities, I'll discuss other important thing that happened this month. Also, when if gets to be picture posting time, I'm going to post some pics of our ski trip. Technically, this happened in Month22, I think, but I'm just now getting my paws on the pictures.

In February, we actually got snow! I've seen snow before but never this much right in my own backyard. I was excited to don my ski suit again (and mommy was excited to get another wear out of the $12 suit purchased at a 2nd hand store that she thought I'd outgrow before I ever wore it again). I stuffed my feet into my boots, put my hands in my mittens, slipped on my sunnies (as if I'd leave the house without them), and hobbled out to start building a snowman. My friend Ella's daddy was out of town, so we called Ella and her mommy to come over bright and early and play with us. We built a SUPA big snowman. Well, mostly Ella's mommy and my daddy did the heavy lifting, but Ella and I totally supervised. We found the cold quite invigorating.

So my birthday party was SO amazing and fun. We rented out Fit 4 Fun, which is an insane indoor playspace. I don't know what Disney World is like (I mean, I HAVE been there, but I was just a child then and I don't remember it), but I totally imagine it to be like this. I got to play on ANYTHING I wanted, THEN all my friends sang to me, THEN we ate cake, THEN we got to play some MORE, and THEN they did my most very favorite activity of all!!! THE PARACHUTE. If you aren't fortunate enough to know what that is, I can't really explain it to you. You have to be there to experience the true joy a parachute can provide. My party was on a Saturday, but my REAL birthday was that Wednesday. We just had a little family party then, but my Nana brought me a MICROWAVE. Not a REAL one of course, but that thing brought all festivities to a screeching halt. I had to microwave EVERYTHING, and then microwave it again, and then AGAIN. It took a good hour to convince me to open any more of my presents, and even then, nothing really measured up to THE MICROWAVE. I did get a little stuffed lamb though, and I'm just going to say the question I know all of you are thinking...could this be microwaved? Keep reading for the answer...

Hee HeeIn fact, Lambchop CANNOT be microwaved.

Month 23

Phew! It has been a busy month around here. I won't waste too much time "talking" as I've got lots of pictures to post. Also, I'm anxious to get to my Month 24 post because, as I'm typing this, I have already celebrated my 2nd year. Crazy huh? But I'm getting ahead of myself...backing up to Month 23...I have developed excellent manners. Really, I've had great manners for a few months now, but this month they are more refined and I hardly ever forget a please "peez" or thank you "tane too." I'm speaking in sentences and, in case you were in doubt, I WILL tell you when "I want" something or "I no like" something.

Technically, Month 24 brought us Valentine's but I have a lot for next month, so we'll discuss that here. Valentine's Day was my mommy's school party. She made little cream puff hearts and brought them to my class. Nana came too. They wanted to see me in action, but I was a little naughty. My teacher said I don't ever act like that NORMALLY, but to be perfectly honest, I didn't really like seeing MY mommy and MY nana giving other kids attention. So instead of participating in the songs, I just sat my little fanny on the rug in non-violent protest. Let's see something else happened on Valentines...what was it...hmmmm....oh YEAH, it was also my daddy's birthday. I probably should say how old he is but let's just say he turned 40 again, again, and AGAIN. My aunt, uncle and cousins came down to help us celebrate and I just love seeing all of them. We are crazy together. And I do mean CRAZY. For example, we all went to eat at Hiro Japanese Steakhouse for dinner and there was a woman in there who looked to be a...how shall I say this politely, streetwalker? And WE were the ones who almost got kicked out?!

I've also reached a very important mile stone...potty training!! I have a potty that looks like a frog and I just LOVE going to sit on my potty...sometimes I potty, sometimes I just read the paper...but it's always a great spot to sit and relax. I love my potty. Sometimes I go to it over and over and over...and OVER again. Mommy just LOVES that! And I don't even need stickers or treats to go potty, all I want to do is wipe!

My grandpa is an excellent painter. Here I am showing him some new techniques that he might want to incorporate into his work.

Ummm...I KNOW you're not eyeing my treat...

MOM, I may be going potty in the living room, but it does NOT mean you can take my picture!

Month 22

I know it has been SO long since I posted. I mean, I'm practically through my 23 month, busy planning my birthday party, and here I am JUST now updating about Christmas and all that Month 22 threw my way. I feel bad really. I am sure all of my loyal readers have probably been anxiously awaiting my Christmas update, so here it is.

Christmas was so, so, SO great. I know I MUST have been a good girl because Santa must have had to rent a UHaul to bring all of my loot. Mommy and I would play a little game before Christmas. She would say, "Santa comes if you're a..." and I would response "good girl." I didn't really understand what the big deal was, I mean, why would I WANT Santa to come? As far as I could tell, he was just a scary, red faced man that sits around Christmas tree lots. But NOW I get it. The REAL Santa watches me from far, far away and if I'm a good girl alllll year, I get fun presents. I woke up early on Christmas morning, like around 5, but Mommy didn't even mind because SHE was so excited too. She brought me to her and Daddy's bed for a little bit, but then NO one could sleep (except Daddy, he can always sleep) so we made Daddy get up too! Daddy went out into the living room and when he said it was okay, Mommy and I got to go out. I had my" sassy" (paci, duh) in my mouth, but you could STILL see my big grin when all saw all my new toys. And the first word out of my mouth? Baby! Because Santa brought me a new baby and a ton of baby stuff to go with it. After I looked around a little more, the sassy just dropped from my mouth and I hit the ground running. There was so much to see and do, I couldn't play with just one thing...I needed to play with it ALL! I loved on the baby, drew on the easel, and played a melody on the keyboard. And then, THEN I saw something soooo awesome. A TENT. I pink tent, just for me, right in the middle of my living room. Once I got over the amazement of all this stuff sprouting up in my house, I saw a stack of wrapped presents. I wasn't sure what to do at first. However, Mommy and Daddy showed me how to rip the paper off and then I wanted to open ALL my presents right away! And later that morning, I wanted to open Mommy's, and Daddy's, and Nana's and anyone elses that I could get my hands on. I LOVE presents!! I'm going to leave you with some pictures from Christmas. I have more to post about our New Year's ski trip, but that will have to be another entry...those pictures aren't ready yet. (Ummm Daddy...I NEED those pictures!)
